    Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI)

These occur when repeated physical movements cause damage to tendons, nerves, and muscles.

Symptoms include tightness, stiffness, soreness, tingling, coldness, numbness and/or burning in the fingers, hands, wrist, arms or elbows. Eyestrain causing headaches and blurred vision is also a widespread symptom of  RSI.

According to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), RSI affects almost 2 million USA workers. It is a very serious and painful condition that is far easier to prevent than cure.

    Lower Back Pain

This is a major problem for industry where it is second to upper respiratory illness as a cause of lost workdays.

Clinicians agree that one of the best techniques for relieving or preventing back pain is regular stretching and strengthening exercises for the lower back and stomach muscles.

Many lower back stretches can be performed on the job such as in the office or at a production plant.

    Exercise & Relaxation

Accumulation of everyday stress left uncontrolled can lead to serious health problems. Stress can be reduced with daily relaxation techniques and a regular exercise routine.

The benefits of exercise in leading a healthy life and preventing many illnesses are well documented:

    • Burns calories to lose body fat and keep off excess weight

    • Lowers risk of heart disease & stroke

    • Helps prevent/control Type II diabetes

    • Improves cholesterol levels and lowers blood pressure

    • Increases bone density to prevent or stop the progression of osteoporosis

    • May reduce the risk of colon cancer and breast cancer

    • Enhances mental function

    • Gives you energy

    • The economic cost of this is staggering to industry in terms of lost productivity

    • Unhealthy employees cost companies through absenteeism, employee replacement, disability, Workman Compensation costs, poor job performance, and poor morale.
    • Common health problems include Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI), lower back pain, stress-related illness, and health problems related to being overweight.

Let us show you how we can help!
